Jason Vargas Gets Destroyed In Colorado
6 years agoWe really hope you didn’t start New York Mets starting pitcher Jason Vargas on Tuesday against the Colorado Rockies. You would have been crazy to do so, and if you did, Vargas proved your insanity by failing to escape the third inning. He allowed seven earned runs on nine hits without any walks or strikeouts. Vargas allowed three home runs in his short outing, one apiece to third baseman Nolan Arenado, shortstop Trevor Story and first baseman Ian Desmond. Vargas now owns an 8.60 ERA in what can only be described as a disastrous first season as a Met after signing a two-year contract this past winter.
