Jason Vargas Gives Solid Performance In Return To Rotation
7 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Jason Vargas picked up his first win of the season on Monday against the Marlins, tossing five scoreless innings with two hits, a walk and seven strikeouts. The outing was the lefty's first decent performance this season. In his first three starts, Vargas posted an awful 13.86 ERA and was skipped his last time around in the rotation. Vargas was a viable fantasy option last season and while this outing was a step in the right direction, he will need to further prove himself before fantasy players can utilize him.
