Jason Vargas Somehow Beats Atlanta On Wednesday
6 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Jason Vargas was not a recommended play against the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday, but somehow he managed to put together a solid outing. Vargas picked up the win by throwing five shutout innings, allowing only two hits and a walk while striking out two on 65 pitches in the 4-1 victory. The rare successful outing for Vargas lowers his ERA to a still completely terrible 8.53. Vargas is going to need to show us a lot more than this before we could even think about recommending him as a streamer option in any fantasy league. Continue to avoid Vargas like the plague.
