2 years agoThe San Francisco 49ers placed defensive back Jason Verrett (knee) on the Physically Unable to Perform list on Tuesday, meaning he will miss at least the first four games of the regular season. The oft-injured Verrett is still trying to recover from surgery to fix a torn ACL in his knee. The former first-round pick of the Los Angeles Chargers in 2014 has never played in more than 14 games in a season, and he's played in double-digit games in a single season just twice in seven NFL campaigns. Until Verrett returns to the team's active roster, Ambry Thomas will have a bigger role in the 49ers secondary as depth.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
