2 years agoThe San Francisco Giants optioned third baseman Jason Vosler to Triple-A Sacramento on Monday. Vosler's demotion likely means that Darin Ruf will return from the bereavement list ahead of Tuesday's series opener against the Colorado Rockies. Vosler has been good for the Giants in 17 games this year, so we'd expect him to return at some point this year when the Giants need more infield help. The 28-year-old went 15-for-51 (.294) with four home runs, eight RBI, nine runs scored and one stolen base. Before his call-up, he was hitting .206/.284/.329 with two home runs and seven RBI in 20 games with Sacramento.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
