3 years agoChicago Cubs shortstop Javier Baez (hand) will be absent from Monday's lineup versus the San Diego Padres. Baez left Sunday's game early with a contusion on his hand. The upcoming free agent has been having a good year all across the board and is hitting .240 with 14 home runs, 39 RBI and nine stolen bases. Baez remains day-to-day and will be replaced at shortstop by infielder Sergio Alcantara. Alcantara will bat seventh and is a dart throw in DFS versus left-hander Ryan Weathers.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
