4 years agoChicago Cubs shortstop Javier Baez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's victory versus the Los Angeles Dodgers. Baez crushed his 17th home run off of Walker Buehler in the top of the first inning. Baez entered the game in a mini slump, but hopefully Thursday's home run will get him back on the right track. Baez is now hitting .226 with 17 home runs, 46 RBI and nine stolen bases and continues to be one of the best pop and speed options at the shortstop position. He will look to keep it up versus Tony Gonsolin on Friday.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
