4 years agoChicago Cubs shortstop Javier Baez continued his strong season in Monday's victory versus the Washington Nationals. Baez went 1-for-4 and hit a solo home run to knock starting pitcher Jon Lester out of the game in the bottom of the sixth inning. Baez has been performing well in his walk year and now has nine home runs to go along with 27 RBI and a .262 batting average. He has also chipped in with six stolen bases. Baez is a trade candidate, but he should continue to perform well in any jersey he wears.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
