Javier Baez Continues To Excel For The Mets
3 years agoNew York Mets shortstop/second baseman Javier Baez went 1-for-4 with a run scored in the Mets 6-3 loss to the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday. Báez has now hit safely in six straight games and he has reached base safely in 12 straight games. Over his last seven games, Báez is slashing .292/.433/.417 with one home run, three RBI, and three runs scored. After a slow start with the Mets, after coming to New York in a trade with the Chicago Cubs at the July trade deadline, Báez has been a tremendous addition to the Mets lineup. He is slashing .304/.377/.556 with nine home runs, 19 RBI, four stolen bases, and 28 runs scored in 38 games with the Mets. On the season, Báez has posted a .264/.317/.504 slash line with 31 HR, 84 RBI, and 17 steals. Báez remains a must-start through the remainder of the season in all fantasy formats.
