Javier Baez Goes Deep Twice On Opening Day
6 years agoChicago Cubs shortstop Javier Baez went 2-for-5 with a pair of home runs and four RBI on Thursday versus the Texas Rangers. Baez finished second to outfielder Christian Yelich for the National League MVP last season and has started strong in 2019. Baez remains one of the better power hitting options at shortstop and is eligible at second base in most formats. Baez will look to continue the momentum on Saturday and will face Rangers pitcher Edinson Volquez in a tasty matchup.
