3 years agoFree-agent infielder Javier Baez met with the New York Mets on Thursday. According to Mark Feinsand of MLB.com, Baez appears to be quite active in these early days of free agency. The 28-year-old should draw plenty of interest on the free-agent market after slashing .265/.319/.494 with 31 homers, 87 RBI, 80 runs, and 18 stolen bases over 546 plate appearances for the Mets/Cubs in 2021. Baez produced for fantasy managers last season and could be a top-10 option at shortstop for upcoming drafts regardless of where he signs.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
