3 years agoChicago Cubs shortstop Javier Baez (thumb) was held out of Sunday's lineup against the Cardinals. The 28-year-old is still dealing with thumb soreness, an ailment that caused him to miss some games earlier in the week. While there isn't anything to suggest that the veteran will need a trip to the injured list, at least for now, the news is still somewhat concerning.
