Javier Baez Remains Sidelined On Tuesday
3 years agoChicago Cubs shortstop Javier Baez (thumb) will miss Tuesday's game versus the San Diego Padres. Baez left Sunday's game early with a contusion on his thumb and hasn't played since. The upcoming free agent has been having a good year all across the board and is hitting .240 with 14 home runs, 39 RBI and nine stolen bases. Baez remains day-to-day and will be replaced at shortstop by infielder Sergio Alcantara. Alcantara will bat seventh and is a dart throw in DFS versus Dinelson Lamet on Tuesday.
