2 years agoDetroit Tigers shortstop Javier Baez (thumb) was scratched from the lineup on Thursday due to a lingering issue with his thumb. Harold Castro will play shortstop and bat eighth versus Kansas City starter Zack Greinke. Baez was in the original starting lineup, but will miss his second-straight game after injuring his thumb earlier in the week. Fantasy managers can only hope Baez will return later in this four-game set in Kansas City.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
