Javier Baez Suffers Hamstring Injury
7 years agoChicago Cubs second baseman Javier Baez left Thursday’s game early with a hamstring injury. Baez appeared to suffer the injury rounding first base on a double. Baez grabbed his hamstring and left immediately. There is no update on the severity of the injury, but hamstring injuries tend to be tricky. If Baez isn’t ready to go for Opening Day, infielder/outfielder Ben Zobrist would likely start at second base. Baez should still be a good pick for owners looking at a second basemen, but depending on the severity of his injury, Baez may get knocked down a few rounds in 2018 drafts.
