Javonte Williams, Melvin Gordon III Could See 70-30 Split
2 years agoDenver Broncos running back Javonte Williams could be unleashed in the newly revamped offense this season, according to team reporter Cecil Lammey. Melvin Gordon III was brought back to the Denver backfield on a one-year deal well after free agency opened so it is no surprise that the young stud running back might be in for a significant workload. Williams has been getting most of the first-team reps during camp, as in six out of the seven practices he has worked with the starters. If Williams does in fact lead the way in a 70-30 split, he could be valued as an elite RB1 with league-winning upside. As of now, his draft price reflects Gordon having a similar role to last season, where the two saw a dead-even split.
