3 years agoDenver Broncos running backs Javonte Williams and Melvin Gordon III could see themselves being relied upon more as the offense will look to establish a strong running game. With Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) potentially out for some time, Williams and Gordon will be relied upon to carry the load in his absence. Offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur mentioned how important it will be to lean on his two talented ball carriers with a young quarterback potentially under center against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 5. "If you've got a good run game, you can do a lot of things … so being able to feed Melvin, being able to feed Javonte, keep them in the game, keep them warm, I think that will always help us out, whenever you get into games," said Shurmur. Williams and Gordon limit the ceiling of one another, so going forward both can be considered FLEX plays. Having said that, Williams looks like he will have more fantasy value as the season progresses.--Tommy Adamopoulos - RotoBaller
