5 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Jay Bruce went 2-for-3 with a run, RBI, and a walk in the Phillies win over Arizona Tuesday. Bruce has now hit safely in seven of eight games since being traded to the Phillies. Bruce is making 54 percent hard contact since the trade, and hitting fly balls at a 62.5 percent rate which should lead to more home runs in the friendly confines of his new home ballpark. It's a small sample, but since joining, the Phils Bruce is batting .346 with an OPS of 1.364. The main thing holding Bruce back in fantasy was playing time concerns but he's started every game since joining the Phillies. As long as he's playing every day he should be almost universally started during this hot streak.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
