4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder/designated hitter Jay Bruce has been placed on the 10-day injured list due to a quad ailment, with Adam Haseley having been activated off of the IL to take his place on the active roster. Bruce mashed the ball through his first 16 contests of 2020, having compiled nine extra-base hits, en route to a career-best .596 SLG. Phil Gosselin figures to see an uptick in playing time with Bruce out of the mix, but it’s more likely that his absence paves the way for a collaboration of bench bats to see time.--Jesse Borek
