6 years agoSeattle Mariners first baseman Jay Bruce (rest) is out of the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Cleveland Indians. This appears to just be a normal rest day for Bruce, as the M's want to get their other sluggers in the lineup. Daniel Vogelbach will serve as the designated hitter and bat cleanup, while Edwin Encarnacion plays first base and bats fifth versus righty Trevor Bauer. Both Vogelbach and Encarnacion have been slugging the ball this season, so it's tough to bench them in fantasy even against Bauer, who has been solid.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
