5 years agoSidelined since July 17 with a left oblique strain, Philadelphia Phillie Jay Bruce returned for Thursday's game against the Giants only to promptly injure his arm making a throw in the third inning. Officially placed back on the injured list on Friday, Bruce is expected to be shut down from throwing for two weeks after being diagnosed with a flexor sprain in his left elbow.
