5 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder/first baseman Jay Bruce continued his torrid power surge Saturday afternoon with a two-run bomb off of Red Sox starter Rick Porcello. It was Bruce's 12th homer of the year and 25th RBI as he went 1-for-4 with a strikeout. The veteran is only batting .192 on the season, but owners will certainly take the power numbers as a trade-off. A pace similar to this should continue for Bruce this year, and he needs to be rostered in all formats for power-hungry fantasy teams.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
