Jaylen Waddle Set For Larger Role Entering 2022
3 years agoMiami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle erupted on the season during his rookie year, hauling in 104 passes for 1,015 yards and six touchdowns. Now, he'll have a specifically offensive-minded head coach in Mike McDaniel, who went as far Tuesday during a radio show appearance to say of his wideout, "I would start him in fantasy." Waddle certainly will garner significant early-round attention, particularly in PRR formats. The one key reservation about his upside likely comes from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, even as the two showed a significant rapport in 2021. It remains to be seen what other pass-catching weapons are brought in to help elevate Miami's offense, but if McDaniel's early reaction are any indication, it appears that Waddle is going to be the kingpin of the group.
