Jazz Chisholm Jr., Jesus Sanchez On The Bench Saturday

2 years agoMiami Marlins second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. and outfielder Jesus Sanchez are both absent from Saturday's lineup versus Phillies left-hander Ranger Suarez. Jon Berti is playing the keystone and batting ninth while Bryan De La Cruz is taking over duties in center field and batting seventh. Chisholm is holding his own with the bat so far in 2022 with a pair of homers, seven RBI, and a .278 BA through six games as it won't be uncommon for him to sit versus some left-handed starters. Sanchez, also a left-handed swinger, will take a seat for the first time this year after starting off his season to a .310 BA with two homers and six RBI. Both batters should return to the lineup on Sunday versus right-hander Zack Wheeler.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
