4 years agoMiami Marlins second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. (hamstring) and catcher Jorge Alfaro (hamstring) are expected to begin a rehab assignment next week with the expectation of rejoining the team by next weekend, according to Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald. Chisholm has been out since April 27, while Alfaro last appeared on April 20, as they have both been dealing with hamstring strains. Alfaro had gotten off to a slow start this year, slashing .229/.250/.257 in 10 games, while Chisholm was having a breakout performance in which he had slashed .290/.375/.551 with four home runs, seven steals, seven RBI and 11 runs scored over 21 games. Managers in weekly leagues should plan on keeping Alfaro and Chisholm on the bench this week, and anticipate putting them back into the starting lineups next week.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
