3 years agoMiami Marlins infielder Jazz Chisholm (illness) was activated from the injured list and appeared in Friday's game as a pinch hitter and later a defensive replacement. He came up to the plate as a pinch hitter in the seventh inning in place of third baseman Brian Anderson. Once the inning ended, the Marlins shuffled around their defense and Chisholm ended up at shortstop to finish off a 14-10 win over the Cubs. Chisholm was originally placed on the IL with "flu-like symptoms" earlier in the week. Based on the timing of the IL stint, it seems like Jazz may have actually had the flu.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
