6 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies shortstop Jean Segura left Saturday's game against the Miami Marlins in the second inning after taking a 90 MPH fastball off of the brim of his helmet. The extent of the injury is currently unknown, but thankfully, Segura was able to walk off of the field. The 29-year-old, who had not played since April 16, was activated off of the injured list prior to the contest. Sean Rodriguez will see more playing time if Segura becomes sidelined again. More information about the injury should come out in the next 24 hours.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
