Jean Segura Exits With Groin Injury
4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies second baseman Jean Segura (groin) left Tuesday's game with an apparent injury. Segura beat out an infield single in the top of the ninth, but was pinch-run for by backup catcher Andrew Knapp. The Phillies are calling it a groin injury for Segura and he should be considered day-to-day for now. The Phillies should provide an update later in the day, but it sounds like Segura will at least miss the series finale Wednesday in Dodger Stadium. Fantasy managers should remove him from starting lineups. Super-utilityman Luke Williams is the most likely candidate to fill in at the keystone, but he's not someone fantasy managers need to prioritize.
