5 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies shortstop Jean Segura was hitless in three at-bats on Sunday against the Milwaukee Brewers, snapping the longest active hitting streak in the majors at 16 games. Despite the hitless afternoon he is still 23-for-70 (.329) with three homers, nine RBI, six walks and 14 runs scored across the past 17 outings. He'll look to begin a new hitting streak on Tuesday evening against RHP Adam Wainwright and the visiting St. Louis Cardinals back at Citizens Bank Park. He is slashing .337/.381/.531 with a .912 OPS with 11 extra-base hits in 98 at-bats at home this season.--Daniel Dobish
