6 years agoSeattle Mariners shortstop Jean Segura is 12-for-36 (.333) over his last nine games heading into Friday night's action. It has been a stellar season to this point for Segura, as he's slashing .332/.361/.469 with two triples, six home runs, 14 stolen bases, 24 doubles, 46 runs driven in and 60 runs scored this season. In 337 at-bats this season, Segura has drawn only 17 walks but continues to hit even when behind in counts. The shortstop leads the Mariners with a .291 batting average hitting with two strikes, a huge reason he currently is second in all of baseball with 112 hits. As long as he stays healthy, Segura is on track to have the best season of his career.--Joey C - RotoBaller
