6 years agoSeattle Mariners shortstop Jean Segura has struggled thus far in the month of July, slashing .242/.277/.339 over his last 62 at-bats. He will take a five-game hitting streak into Tuesday night's action but has only two multi-hit performances this month. The All-Star shortstop popped a three-run homer in the All-Star game but is known more for his ability to make contact. He currently is tied for second in all of baseball with 123 hits despite his down performance of late. The Mariners open up a series at home against the Giants on Tuesday night and Segura is slashing .310/.327/.457 through 49 home games this season.--Joey C - RotoBaller
