Jean Segura Homers In Loss To Mets Wednesday
4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies second baseman Jean Segura went 2-for-3 with his first home run of the season Wednesday at the Mets. Segura's homer was the only offense the Phillies could muster against David Peterson who blanked the Phillies aside from Segura. The 31-year-old is off to a nice start this season batting .295 through 12 games. He won't provide much power, but he gets on base thanks to a 13.8% career walk rate and he can still provide some steals. Segura isn't a must-roster player, but he can be a solid source of batting average and steals in 15-plus team leagues or those with a middle infield spot.
