6 years agoSeattle Mariners shortstop Jean Segura continues to carry the top of the Mariners lineup and has posted 11 multi-hit performances in his last 17 games. He is a blistering 32-for-75 (.426) in that span with 11 runs batted in and has lifted his batting average from .291 to a sparkling .330. Segura has never seen a pitch he didn't like and while he only has seven walks this season, he still has scored 37 runs. He even has swiped 12 bases through 51 games and is a huge reason the Mariners are neck and neck in the division currently with the Astros. His current .368 BABIP is bound to come down a touch, but there is no denying Segura is putting up a very strong case for All-Star consideration.--Joey C - RotoBaller
