Jean Segura Not In The Lineup Against Marlins
3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies second baseman Jean Segura (arm) is not in the starting lineup on Thursday after taking a pitch off his left arm on Wednesday against the New York Mets. Segura avoided a major injury, but the Phillies will give him a day off anyway. In his absence, Bryson Stott gets the start at the keystone and will bat eighth against Miami Marlins right-hander Sandy Alcantara. Fantasy managers should expect Segura to return by Friday, at the earliest. Stott has four hits in his first 14 major league plate appearances, adding three RBI, one double and one run scored in the first four games of the season. The 24-year-old should see semi-regular at-bats this year, mostly at third base, and will be a DFS sleeper with minimal upside on Thursday.
