7 years agoSeattle Mariners shortstop Jean Segura's eighth inning two-run single came up short as the Tigers held off the Mariners 5-4 on Sunday. The base hit tied the game at four, scoring teammates Ben Gamel and Ryon Healy. Segura finished the game 2-for-4 and now is hitting .301 with 27 runs driven in on the season. Segura will have to pick up the slack even more moving forward after the team learned that second baseman Robinson Cano will miss time after breaking his hand on a hit by pitch.--Joey C - RotoBaller
