4 years agoOakland Athletics second baseman Jed Lowrie is locked in to start the 2021 season as he looks to resurrect his career after becoming a forgotten man with the Mets. Lowrie made just eight plate appearances with New York over the last two seasons but seems to feel right at home in Oakland, now on his third stint with the team. The soon-to-be 37-year-old has been batting third for the A's and has nine RBI in his last four games. He's slashing .333/.417/.548 through 48 PA while posting his always strong plate discipline numbers. A look under the hood backs up Lowrie's success as he's sporting a .351 xBA and a .455 xwOBA, both in the top-ninth percentile of qualified hitters.
