3 years agoOakland Athletics second baseman Jed Lowrie started the 2021 season with a bang, but the veteran infielder has slowed down considerably in recent weeks. Lowrie is batting just .182 since May 4 and has just three runs and four RBI in that span. Strikeouts are the primary reason for his struggles as his strikeout rate in that time is over 25 percent, a big jump for a contact hitter like Lowrie. If he's not producing batting average, Lowrie has little use in fantasy as his career slugging percentage is under .400.
