7 years agoOakland Athletics second baseman Jed Lowrie (leg) said he's still feeling the effects of a collision in San Francisco in mid-July. “I haven't been able to do the lower body work that has made me successful. ... I need to build that leg strength back up," Lowrie said. It would help explain why he's hitting only .134 with one home run and six RBI in 19 games since July 13. His recent slump has dropped his overall line to .265/.346/.455, but he's already posted a career-high 17 home runs in 110 games. If you haven't already, you may want to consider benching him until he shows signs of his previous All-Star form.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
