7 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher prospect Jeff Hoffman went 5 2/3 innings pitched, giving up one run, three walks, and no hits while striking out eight in the 3-1 win over the Tacoma Rainiers. Hoffman is a top prospect in the Rockies organization, despite a 1-3 record and a 4.42 ERA to start the year in Triple-A. He is still only 25, so the Rockies have a couple more years to attempt to groom him into a starting pitcher for the organization. Hoffman should become an option for Colorado's rotation at some point this summer.--Caden Inaba
