5 years agoNew York Mets second baseman Jeff McNeil (hamstring) was activated from the Injured List Tuesday and is batting leadoff vs the Giants. McNeil has been on the IL since May 21 with a hamstring injury. McNeil doesn't offer much pop, he has only a .467 career slugging percentage but does have a .418 on-base percentage. The best thing McNeil brings to the table is plate discipline as he only strikes out at a 10.1 percent rate which gives him a solid floor in points leagues. He does have a .333 batting average but that is largely due to a .371 BABIP. McNeil is an interesting add in deeper points leagues but doesn't offer much in a standard 12-team mixed league.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
