4 years agoNew York Mets third baseman/outfielder Jeff McNeil had to be carted off the field on Thursday after he collided with the outfield wall. McNeil made a spectacular run-saving catch to end the top of the first inning in the Mets' matinee with the Nationals, but at a potentially huge cost. McNeil made the catch on a full run with his arm extended and hit the wall and collapsed to the ground. He attempted to walk off the field under his power, but could not. McNeil is currently being evaluated and the Mets do not anticipate an update on his status until after Thursday's game concludes.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
