Jeff McNeil Day-To-Day With Bone Contusion In Knee
4 years agoFollowing up on an earlier report regarding New York Mets' third baseman/outfielder Jeff McNeil, it has been confirmed he suffered only a bone contusion in his left knee following a collision with the outfield wall on Thursday. He is considered day-to-day and does not appear to be a candidate for the injured list. Both his X-ray and MRI came back negative. This is great news as both McNeil owners and the Mets dodged a huge bullet here. McNeil made a spectacular run-saving catch to end the top of the first inning in the Mets' 8-2 win over the Nationals on Thursday which led to the injury.
