3 years agoNew York Mets second baseman Jeff McNeil (leg) made his first game appearance since July 21 Sunday, and came through with a two-run pinch-hit double that gave the Mets a 5-3 lead. McNeil had been sitting out several days with left leg fatigue, though manager Luis Rojas has been consistent in saying that McNeil would not need to be placed on the injured list. Instead, he extended his hitting streak to eight games. McNeil is expected to return to the lineup Monday, so fantasy managers can feel comfortable activating him for the coming scoring period.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
