Jeff McNeil Leaves Sunday's Game With Gastrointestinal Issue

4 years agoNew York Mets third baseman/outfielder Jeff McNeil went 1-for-2 with a run scored in the Mets' 7-3 loss to the Blue Jays on Sunday before leaving the game. The Mets reported that McNeil was dealing with gastrointestinal discomfort, but was feeling better by the time the contest ended. Managers should keep an eye on this in case McNeil is forced to miss any time due to this issue, though it appears unlikely. McNeil, who has been red hot of late, is batting .319 with four home runs and 21 RBI on the season.
