4 years agoNew York Mets second baseman Jeff McNeil (hamstring) is reportedly nearing a rehab assignment with Triple-A Syracuse that could begin within days. McNeil suffered a significant hamstring strain back on May 16 and has been on the 10-day injured list since May 17. While no definitive timeframe has been provided for McNeil's return from the IL, the fact that he is just days away from a rehab assignment is encouraging news. Fantasy managers should remain patient with McNeil who may only be a week or so away from a return to the Mets.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
