Jeff Okudah On Track For Summer Return
3 years agoDetroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell said at the NFL scouting combine in February that cornerback Jeff Okudah (Achilles) is on track for a summer return. Jerry Jacobs (knee) is also on track to return for training camp. Okudah posted a video of himself earlier this week of him sprinting in a straight line, so he's certainly getting closer. The 23-year-old former third overall pick in 2020 has been a bust so far in his two seasons in the NFL, playing in just 10 total games due to injuries. He tore his Achilles in Week 1 last season and has missed 23 games to begin his career. Despite the inability to stay on the field, Okudah is expected to remain at cornerback for Detroit, and if he can stay healthy in 2022, the Lions secondary should be in much better shape.
