6 years agoMontreal Canadiens defenseman Jeff Petry picked up two assists with a minus-one rating and two hits over 25:13 of ice time in Saturday's 4-3 shootout victory against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Petry and Mike Reilly continue to gobble up a lion's share of the rearguard minutes for the Canadiens. They might not be the most attractive top defensive pairing in the NHL, but they're doing a pretty good job so far. The 30-year-old Petry has two multi-point games over his past three outings, totaling four assists in four games, all against Pittsburgh in two games. There's something about seeing black and gold which gives him an extra gear.--Daniel Dobish
