7 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Jeff Samardzija has missed the entire 2018 season thus far due to a pectoral injury. However, Samardzija could reportedly return to the Giants rotation on Friday against the Angels. The Shark is coming off a season in which he pitched to a 9-15 record with a 4.42 ERA and a 205/32 K/BB ratio over 32 games. His return would be a welcome sign for the Giants, however, fantasy owners should wait to see how effective Samardzija is in his 11th season before employing him regularly.--Dan Fappiano
