7 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Jeff Samardzija (shoulder) is "making progress" and threw a 20-pitch side session on Thursday. Samardzija has been out since July 14 and wasn't doing anything for fantasy owners anyway before his injury. He's 1-5 on the year with a 6.25 ERA, 1.63 WHIP and only 30 strikeouts over 44 2/3 frames in 10 starts. You can leave him on the waiver wire for now. The Shark must return and prove he's healthy and effective before fantasy owners will give him another shot.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
