6 years agoUpdating a previous report, San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Jeff Samardzija (shoulder) has been placed on the 10-day disabled list with tightness in his right shoulder. Samardzija is expected to miss at least one start. The Giants have promoted pitching prospect Tyler Beede to take Samardzija’s spot on the roster. Beede will operate out of the bullpen, and the team has not announced who will start for Samardzija on Sunday. Samardzija has struggled mightily this year and is not a must-hold in mixed leagues.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
